COMFORT Explained - Video Interviews

Prostate cancer and kidney cancer are among the most prevalent cancers in Europe, with a profound negative impact on the quality of life of those affected. The COMFORT Project is a Horizon Europe initiative working to develop AI decision-support systems that help clinicians detect, diagnose, and treat these cancers more effectively.

A central promise of COMFORT is to build trustworthy AI, technology that is transparent, reliable, and developed in dialogue with society. That includes explaining how it works in terms that everyone can understand. This interview series is part of that promise. Members of the COMFORT consortium share insights into the project, highlighting key aspects of AI development: from data collection, anonymisation, and training methods to ensuring that the algorithm remains unbiased.
