Klinikum rechts der Isar

A university hospital with 1150+ beds, Klinikum rechts der Isar (MRI) houses the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and is equipped with advanced imaging and research facilities. MRI's strong involvement in over 500 EU-funded projects, including 16 ongoing initiatives under MRI consortium leadership, and its leadership in AI, machine learning and trust in AI underscore its commitment to leveraging high-performance computing resources and robust partnerships for scientific advancement.

Role within COMFORT

Within the COMFORT project, MRI will collaborate with partners to streamline project implementation. MRI will support and participate in the multi-centre clinical trial and assist in the integration of advanced natural language models. MRI will also contribute to the design of the COMFORT platform, focusing on interoperability, privacy and security, with an additional role in platform development, testing and integration planning. In addition, MRI will contribute to the analysis of ethical concerns of AI, to the development of trustworthiness models based on Explainable AI (XAI), and to addressing biases and privacy concerns.
